  • The use of one grave space shall be limited to interments as follows : 1. One full burial interment of human remains, 2. One full burial with a cremation urn on top, 3. Two urns of cremated remains.

  • Graves will be filled with soil, packed and covered with sod and level with the surrounding ground. The site is to be left clean with excess soil and stone removed.

  • All plots must be paid in full before an interment will be permitted or grave marker placed.

  • The interment fee must be paid in full before interment is permitted.

  • All graves must have a permanent marker identifying the person buried or to be buried in that grave. The marker must be approved by the board prior to purchase and meet size specifications.

  • The purchaser of a plot in Maple Knoll Cemetery does not acquire the property itself but only the “right of burial” of human remains. The certificate of ownership to the lot conveys only the “right of burial”. The Board shall retain control and supervision of all plots that have been sold.

  • Reassignment or transfer of any plot will be subject to the approval of the Board. A notarized statement indicating permission of the original purchaser and/or heir(s) and the buyer shall be required. • Upon the death or judicially declared incompetence of a plot owner, it is the responsibility of the heir(s) to file with the Board proof of their right to use the plot. No burials on the site shall be permitted until such proof is presented.

  • The Board or its designated representative shall have the right to enter any plot and prohibit, modify or remove any structure, object, improvement or adornment on such lot which may have been placed there in violation of the guidelines of Maple Knoll Cemetery. This would also include anything that may be considered unsightly, objectionable, or otherwise injurious to the plot or adjoining plots, or the general appearance of the cemetery or interfere with routine maintenance of the cemetery.

  • No disinterment will be allowed without permission of next of kin, the lot owner, the cemetery, and proper authorities.

  • The cemetery shall in no way be liable for any container, receptacle, or urn of cremated remains placed at any plot. A permanent type of urn is required for ground interment of cremated remains. The scattering of cremated remains over a family plot is prohibited.
